Permanent practice closure notice
We are saddened to announce that Galemire Vets will be permanently closing from Friday 6th March 2026.
The closest practice within the Independent Vet Care family is Eden & Border Vets in Carlisle (tel:01228 541999), who would love to welcome you and your pet(s), though we appreciate this practice may not be convenient for former customers of Galemire Vets.
If you would like to transfer your pet to another local veterinary practice you will be able to request your pet(s) clinical records to ensure continuity of care. You can find alternative local veterinary practices here: https://findavet.rcvs.org.uk/home
After Friday 6th March 2026, you can call 01900 602138 between 9am and 5pm to request your pet(s) clinical records.
If you have a future appointment booked after 6th March 2026, this will be cancelled.
If you are a Pet Health Club customer, your Pet Health Club plan will be cancelled from Friday 6th March 2026 and no further payments will be taken.
